I understand that being photographed is an intimate experience. So to me, documenting a person’s soul, who they are, and who they love is a sacred space. When you let your life unfold in front of my lens, I document it with a sense of urgency and nostalgia. As a mom of grown children, I understand the gravity of the work I do and I bring that passion to every session. When you put your heart in my hands the results will be a a meaningful poetic story that encapsulates this time in your life and leaves you with photographs that feel like stepping back into a memory. When your arms are no longer the home of your babes, you will have these sweet moments to come back to over and over again. Their tiny hands in yours, their warm breath on your neck as they snuggle into the safety of you. All these treasures of love will be laid out before you, before your children as a reminder of this beautiful life you made together.
What are session like with me?
This video is a great example of how fun my sessions are. You never have to worry about misbehaved kids, because we just play and have fun!
- My approach to photography and film is very relaxed and observational as opposed to traditional posed and directed.
- My sessions are super laid back; I just let the kids be kids and have fun. That might be something your family hasn’t experienced at a photo session before, but it is amazing!
- These types of sessions are not about getting the perfect photos with the perfect smiles. They are about capturing this beautifully imperfect life and what makes your family’s love story.
- Sessions consist of real moments, which is why location is so important. I want to create an environment where you have room to explore and be yourself. If you look at my portfolio, the images and films are real moments full of movement, emotion, and connection. I’m able to create these images when you are fully engaged in playing with, loving on, and connecting with your people. That’s when the magic happens. It is a collaboration of your willingness to be vulnerable and my ability to meet you in the place.
I work really hard to make your session and everything leading up to it easy and stress free. Working with me is like slipping on an old comfy sweatshirt. We will discuss all the things from the session experience to styling, locations, and what is important to you. By the time your session comes around, it will be like hanging out with a dear friend. One who cares deeply about documenting your family and creating purposeful art that illuminates its heart and soul. Together we will create a poetic masterpiece of light, love, and family.

These sessions are Story-driven, adventures full of laughter, love, and connection. They are kid-led lead and Dad approved. They are for heartfelt families looking to poetically capture the beauty of this moment in their life.
