This is something I feel deep down in my soul, and that is, your life shouldn’t be depicted by your family standing in a park saying cheese for the camera. It deserves to be photographed in a real way. One that is rich with the poetry of your story, full of love, connection, joy, dirty feet, tiny hands, and grateful hearts.
As a mom with grown children, I can’t tell you how disappointed I am, that even though I have a hundred trillion “Say cheese” photos in print, on my computer, hard drives, and old defunct phones, I don’t have any that show the beautiful connection between my boys and me. I know it’s there, but I wish I had photos of us, beautiful moments from when they were little, that documented my fierce love for them.
My heart yearns for that. Living proof that the life we shared was rich with love. That they, my kids, were (are) loved with all my heart and soul. THAT is what I want for YOU. That is what I want for your children. I can not think of one thing that is more important than this. So, stop waiting for the perfect time because life isn’t perfect, and before you know it the years roll by and you can’t get back moments that you never took the time to capture.

Photos belong on your wall, in beautiful albums, and in actual print! They deserve to be seen and are wonderful reminders of how beautiful this life is. My job as your photographer doesn’t feel fulfilled by merely dumping some digital files on you, because there’s just something so special about having a tangible photo. Photos that you can touch or albums to flip through. In a world full of technology it’s easy for kids to get caught up in the digital world. It’s a nice break for our children to step away from the digital realm into a much more meaningful experience like sitting down with the family going through photos and reliving your stories.
Show your family how proud you are of them, how much you love and enjoy them, and hang some dang photos! Fill your home with those beautiful little faces you love so much. The best part is, you don’t need to know anything about how to make this happen, because thats what I am here for!
